The facelift, one of the most popular of all cosmetic procedures, has progressed. Despite the extensive peels, laser treatments and dermabrasion techniques available today, continues facelift to be the technique that patients turn to when their jowls, neckline, and the areas in the middle of the face begins to sag, or when their facial wrinkles and creases become deeper.
The elevators in front of a few decades ago, involved lifting the outer layer of skin and move it. While patients emerged with skin tightening, the results were often unnatural and short-lived. The medical community has come to visit, not just the skin becomes lax with age – the underlying muscles and tendons is to blame.
The next step in the development of small cuts facelift technique was. By increasing both the degree of underlying facial muscles, and the outer layer of skin, much larger, longer lasting results were achieved. When you lift the superficial musculoaponeurotic system, or lowly level connecting fibers support system for the skin is tight.
Yet surgeons have recently discovered yet another layer that contributes to the laxity and poor definition of the face in both older and younger patients, and those who are genetically predisposed to necklines and deep creases in his face for an indefinite period. The latest face-lift was to release a third layer of fabric containing the suspensory ligaments that support muscle. Although these tend to be Salmon loosen muscles and skin and cause premature wrinkles in the cheeks and around his mouth. Clip these ligaments, the nasolabial fold, a deep furrow running from nose to mouth on each side of the face is softer. In the past, could be offered to patients who wanted to get rid of those annoying wrinkles, short of collagen injections.
The results of lifting three layers are more durable, because doctors at the same time moving and tighten the three floors of tissue: skin, muscles and ligaments.
Patients interested in the redesign of the three layers should seek a plastic surgeon who has experience in performing these techniques latest facial rejuvenation. While the results tend to be better and more sustainable, the new technologies also require a better understanding of the anatomy of the face to avoid complications.

Liposuction by Laser

3009903511 05ac0b6093 m Liposuction by Laser
Advances in methods of removing fat with liposuction will continue to change and improve. One of the most worthy of note that are currently marketed and touted is laser liposuction, or more accurately, laser-assisted liposuction. In contrast to the traditional technique of cannula insertion emptied loose and played in adipose tissue, and then suck out, this particulation mechanics replaced by heat from the laser energy. Inside the liposuction cannula, the fibers carrying laser light delivers its heat to the targeted fat breakdown in liquid “soup” which can be exhausted. Theoretically, the skin overlying the areas where liposuction has been made to approach the heat of the laser. From this date, there are three such laser-assisted liposuction system available in the U.S.. They are marketed under the brand Smartlipo (little bear) COOLLIPO (CoolTouch) and PROLIPO (Sctiton). All tout more effective removal of fat, less bruising and swelling after surgery, faster recovery, and some hanging skin and improvement in the appearance of cellulite in treated areas. The real question is. . . . is really better than basic liposuction. . . and higher costs for traditional liposuction worth it? (someone has to pay for the purchase of equipment … and that someone is the patient!) So far, laser-assisted liposuction is extremely attractive, particularly to the public. Previously, any medical treatment that included the word, laser, always love the audience. No clinical studies have yet been reported, but I’ve seen that has ever directly compared any laser-assisted vs traditional liposuction patients. N. clinical trials, large and small, have yet to do, compare the results of each method touted liposuction in a prospective, controlled clinical trial. FDA approval for these products means that they are safe for use by the patient, but that does not mean they are necessarily more effective than other methods of liposuction. Much like using ultrasonic liposuction when it was introduced 10 years ago, the laser-assisted liposuction to be a popular trend that ultimately can not do better. Will undoubtedly have their place in Liposuction alternatives and arsenal, but I doubt that there is magic or if you have a great step forward in treatment outcomes and recovery times. Although there is another method of removing fat, I’m still skeptical as to whether any applications for the marketing of laser-assisted liposuction, which is a faster recovery and a tightening of the skin can live up to the hype. doing some form of progress in liposuction, a procedure that is quite traumatic to the tissues. While effective, liposuction is still one of the most brutal”procedures that we as plastic surgeons do. And laser liposuction assted a better method for liposuction?. . . . . ask me again in 5 years!
